This volume, first published in 1924 (re-published 2015), under the title ‘The Men of the Lewis’ consists of articles which originally appeared as a series in the Stornoway Gazette. They present sketches of some of the Lewis worthies of the 19th and 20th centuries, some of whom were known to the author himself.
