An Orthodox Catechism was first published in 1680 by Hercules Collins, and is a significant work within the Baptist heritage. It is based on one of the most important distinctively Reformed doctrines over the past 500 years - the Heidelberg Catechism. Recognising its value for Christians and churches Hercules Collins set out to edit it to conform to Baptist beliefs.

This lightly edited version of Collins original edition, has been re-published with the addition of scripture proofs from the Authorised Version. This addition also contains the appendix that Collins wrote on the ordinance of singing. Today’s readers will greatly benefit from not only reading, but studying this book.
